"The LORD has done this, and it is marvelous in our eyes"

The word of God... Deuteronomy 30:13 - "Now choose life so that you and your children may live and that you may love the Lord your God, listen to His voice and hold fast to Him".

Michelle chose life!

Hello, my name is David McKenna. Would you like to be a part of a Miracle in the making? One of my prayers is to spiritually inspire and help those in need, maybe even turn them to Christ. I am so grateful to Christ for His presence in our workplace where my young employee Michelle could confide in me that she was pregnant. Through tears of anguish, she explained that she could not possibly have a baby at this time. My wife Linda and I ministered and prayed for her. With a sign from God, she triumphantly walked out of an abortion clinic choosing Life!

Michelle now knows that God has a plan of hope, love and a bright future for her and her baby.

Please join us in prayer for the compassion and rewards of Christ to flow abundantly to Michelle. You can help keep this Miracle alive by donating clothing, diapers, formula, money or other necessities. This is not business as usual; this is about the spirit of life.

Thank you for your prayers and kindness.

As of this writing Michelle is doing great. She and her boyfriend Rob are considering baby names and marriage. We have created this webpage and a radio spot for Michelle. I am also considering a mass mailing to our existing customer base with a fundraising letter. I hope that you enjoyed reading about this latest Miracle story. I will continue to update it as it unfolds.

Thank you and be blessed,

UPDATE 2/24/11:

Michelle's decision to choose life has really touched some of our fellow Star 99.1 listeners.

One such listener, named Susan, shared that she also chose life, and then married her husband Pete just one month before the birth of their 1st child. This May they will be celebrating their 36th year anniversary with their children and grandchildren as God intended.

Susan's pastor once said that their story should inspire other couples. Well... it has. After hearing their story, my wife Linda and I sensed that God was communicating to us to be a blessing unto Michelle and Rob as if they were our own children. Over lunch, we shared Susan's story with them and went on to offer our support if they would like to follow in Susan and Pete’s footsteps. Michelle and Rob graciously accepted and are busily planning their April 2nd wedding!

My name is David McKenna. When I established this part of my company's website I never dreamed that I would be blessed again so soon with the honor of writing another Miracle story. Upon hearing of this latest unfolding story, my assistant Judy pointed out that this was exactly the type of story that this section of our Website was made for. She encouraged me to share it, so here it goes...

This story is centered upon one very special young woman named Michelle. In the four months that I have known Michelle she has always been personable, bright and willing. To say that she has been an excellent employee would be an understatement. She has quickly earned the respect and hearts of all of her co-workers. With a genuine smile and pleasant demeanor, Michelle has always been very approachable. Quickly, she has allowed me into her life, a little at a time, one conversation at a time. This relationship has afforded me an opportunity to help Michelle where I can, fulfilling a side of me that has been in bloom as of late. Mostly, my help has come in the form of unsolicited advice. Being an open minded Christian, Michelle has been receptive to my spiritually inspired thoughts and experiences on hope and life.

Relating with a twenty year old is not always easy, so I find that I don't always try to. Looking back, my personal conversations with Michelle have mostly been one sided fatherly pontifications. Messages and themes gently metered out like; things happen for a reason, believing in a higher power, surrendering to God's plans, living a purposeful life and self esteem to name a few.

Little did I know that my relationship equity with Michelle would pay off in such a substantial, rewarding way. Michelle had been sick on and off for days and missing time from work. I was getting concerned, so I asked her to make up some of the time and come in on the up coming Saturday. Michelle untypically refused to agree to make up the time.

Later that week, Michelle felt that it was important for me to know that she was appreciative of the opportunities at my company and that she would come in if she could. Behind closed doors she started to try to explain to me just was going on in her life that was so important and why she could not come in on the coming Saturday.

Through tears of anguish, Michelle explained that she was pregnant and that she could not possibly keep the baby. I quickly went to her and held her hands, while her pent up conflicted emotions came flowing out. She didn't want to be thought of as a bad person. She sobbed uncontrollably as she explained that she had no other choice. She said that there wasn't enough money and that they (she and her boyfriend Rob) were so young. She thought that if she couldn't provide the best for the baby then it would be best not to have it. She didn't want anyone to think any less of her and she felt like she had no other option.

Michelle composed herself as best as she could and allowed me to speak on behalf of the life of the unborn. I explained that God creates life and that it is by the grace of God that she is pregnant.* I reminded her that things happen for a reason, that things could change for the better and that the baby would be provided for. I suggested to her to slow down and give me a week to look into other options for her like adoption. She was under the impression that she was pregnant for too long and it must take place right away.

*But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses... to the ends of the earth." Acts 1:8

I explained that no matter what happened that I would not judge her and that was our creator's job. I looked into her eyes and stated that I would support and help her if she chose life. I also voiced my concerns of the potential emotional scars that she may have to carry for the balance of her life. **

**Whereof I was made a minister, according to the gift of the grace of God given unto me by the effectual working of his power. Ephesians 3:7

With Michelle's permission I was able to inform my wife Linda of this latest development in our relationship with Michelle.

Later that day Linda asked her to not make any snap decisions and to consider the long term implications of her choices. Linda spoke highly on the merits of adoption and reminded Michelle that the life that was dwelling in her was a precious gift. Linda also pledged her support if Michelle was to choose life.

With Linda and I feeling that we did all that we could, we quietly went about our lives trusting that it was in God's hands.

On Monday, Michelle informed us that she was still pregnant and that she was keeping the baby. Whoo Hoo! We didn't see this coming and were at once filled with great joy and a sense of commitment to Michelle and her baby. When I asked her what it was that had happened to change her mind, she stated that she took it as a sign from God* the way the events had unfolded and that she walked out of the abortion clinic choosing life!

*"For the eyes of the LORD range throughout the earth to strengthen those whose hearts are fully committed to him," 2 Chronicles 16:9

My mind immediately went back to my pledge of support. I thought that we could create a web page devoted to Michelle and her baby's needs to give everyone an opportunity to help keep this Miracle alive by donating clothing, diapers, formula, money or other necessities. Linda also came up with the idea that we could also have a pay pal account on the Michelle page for inspired people who might like to help out financially. We could also buy some Radio time. We could reach out to our fellow brothers and sisters in Christ through Star 99.1

Please help support Michelle’s decision to choose life by forwarding this email to everyone on your contact list who might appreciate the spirit of life contained within.

"Look upon the never ending majestic shining stars at night and partake in God's message; I have created Heaven and earth. I can prepare and guide you. I can and will enlighten your life. Even in darkness. I have given you vast opportunity that I call unto my name" ~David McKenna
